ACLS is an advanced course that highlights the importance of team dynamics and communication, systems of care and immediate post-cardiac-arrest care. It also covers airway management and related pharmacology. In this course, skills are taught in group sessions and small, group learning and testing stations where case-based scenarios are presented.
The Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers course is designed to provide a wide variety of healthcare professionals the ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner.
PALS is a course that uses a series of simulated pediatric emergencies to reinforce the important concepts of a systematic approach to pediatric assessment, basic life support, PALS treatment algorithms, effective resuscitation and team dynamics. The PALS course is to improve the quality of care provided to seriously ill or injured children, resulting in improved outcomes.
Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED teaches students critical skills needed to respond to and manage an emergency until emergency medical services arrive. Skills covered in this course include first aid; choking relief in adults, children, and infants; and what to do for sudden cardiac arrest in adults, children, and infants.
Heartsaver® Pediatric First Aid CPR AED is geared towards anyone involved in childcare who have a duty to respond to illnesses and injuries in a child or infant in the first few minutes until professional help arrives. Including: childcare workers, teachers, camp counselors, etc.
The adult ECG & Pharmacology course addresses a key knowledge gap in electrocardiogram (ECG) and pharmacology, and focuses on specific ECG recognition skills and drug treatment knowledge.
The course is a pre-course option for ACLS students and other healthcare providers.
